Question

Cycle length or luteal length? Question for you.

Since I began fertility treatments my cycle length has not varied much. 28-29 days and my luteal phase has been 12-13 days (never more than 13). Even with older cycles when i was on clomid (clomid makes me ovulate late so my cycle length is longer) and my cycle length was around 33 days, my luteal phase was never more than 13 days. Recently we have been doing IUI on cd15 (once on cd16 and that gave me a 29 day cycle, luteal phase still 13 days). This cycle we did IUI on cd14. Normally I spot on 13dpo and start 14dpo. Today I am 14dpo and I have not started spotting yet. I would have thought the earlier ovulation would have caused my cycle to shorten by one day since my luteal phase never goes more than 13 days.

Any thoughts? I did a hpt yesterday and it was negative but I then discovered the test had expired last summer. It was a dollar store brand test.

You could have more progesterone in your system this cycle delaying AF by a wee bit. Or maybe you're pregnant and you test was faulty. If AF doesn't show, I'd take another test.
