Late period, definitely ovulated but negative tests?

So I now I definitely ovulated this month, I had a blood test to test progesterone on day 21. Doctor said that I definitely had ovulated.. I am very regular - 28d day cycles, the only other time I have been late was when I was pregnant last year, which ended in a MMC at 10 weeks. My period is now 2 days late, but I am still getting negatives.. Could I still be pregnant? And if not, why hasn't AF shown if I definitely ovulated? I'm so confused :(
