Can a uti or bladder Infection that causes blood in the urine effect a pregnacy test!?? I
So I had my iud out feb 23rd ttc since! Had a period right on time of march 3rd. Next cycle I spotted for 2 days no cramps etc. wasn't a period like I've ever had!! Since than I've had numerous faint positive hpt on every pee test from dollar store equate fr and clear blue! ! Went to the docs appt last week to get tested for pregnancy. It came up neg but said I could have an infection there was some blood in my urine. Went back today and still nothin!! Go for blood hcg test and culture tomorrow, if there is a bad infection can It effect a pee test? I've been nauseous sore boobs, NO Libido (everytime im prego i lose libedo) tired etc!

An infection or having blood in your urine will not cause hcg to show up in your urine just as it will not cause hcg to be masked in your urine/blood tests either. Hcg is a hormone. Blood, white blood cells (indicate infection), and bacteria in your bodily fluids are completely different from hormones and look totally different (and are tested differently) from hcg in the lab. If a test was performed for hcg and the lab did not detect any, it either means it was too early to see in your urine or you are not pregnant and the faint positive tests are errors. If only a dipstick urine test was done in the office, it may be less accurate than a test done in the lab. Again, it may have been too early. By next week when they do a blood test, they ought to easily be able to detect hcg if you really are pregnant. (I'm not a lab technician or anything but I am a nurse.)

No it cant, as with my first pregnancy i always got infections and doc was able to test for pregnancy with me by there tests and blood tests , prob to early to test or it could be q chemical pregnancy and that's why you getting faint lines and doc test was neg, but test again in a week and see how many days past ovulation are you, x
