Have you had the blood test that checks for Downs? It pulls the babies DNA from your blood & checks for chromosomal abnormalities that way. It is a lot less invasive. I had that done bc I was 36 when I had my 2nd. Regardless, the odds are overwhelmingly in your favor: the odds are .003%. Try not & worry, even though I know that is hard.

I am a mother of 4 and conceived my last child at age 46. I declined all the chromosomal testing that was continually "pushed" on me. Ask yourself: why do you want to test? Would you abort the baby if you found it had an "abnormality"? If the testing is done so the parents can better prepare for a baby with a problem then that is a good idea. Besides, even at an advanced maternal age, the chances of having a healthy baby are still in your favor. Best wishes and the Lord's blessings.
