Question

baby growing 9 weeks, no heartbeat

I'm the husband, bear with me, but our story is really weird

our 1st BFP was 14dpo, from IVF, the beta was 36

2nd beta 48 hours kater, was 48, looked like a chemical

3rd beta 48 hours later was 113, seemed like there's hope

we had our 1st ultrasound at 6 weeks 4 days, these were the results

2 sac, one 7mm, and one 4mm

the 7mm had a 1.67mm fetal pole, no heart beat, and a yolk sac we were told that its dragging behind and we should've heard a heartbeat

the next ultrasound was at 8 weeks 6 days

the larger sac had an embryo 13.7mm (grew 12mm in 16 days), and the other sac was empty as it was at 4mm size. Our larger embryo didn't have a heartbeat, but the sonographer suspected a fluttert but wasn't sure. We were told to come back in 10 days. The cervix is closed, there's no hematoma on the ultrasound.

Now my question, I have never seen any case like this, and most OBS i've talked have never seen a case like this. Can anyone please explain whats

I've go no experience of two sacs but hang in there for the flutter and hopefully in 10 days they will get a good heart beat. They had trouble detecting my babies heart beat at 8 weeks and he was a singleton, I also had to go back for extra scans. He also had extra scans because he wouldn't roll over. He turned out fine

My SIL had a similar experience with her pregnancy through IVF. Her Beta's were not doubling in the beginning so they were told she would prob mc, but then continued to go up slowly. At the first ultrasound they saw two sacs and no heartbeats on the second ultrasound still 2 sacs but only one heartbeat. Eventually the second sac reabsorbed and was gone. She had a healthy pregnancy and baby. The heartbeat could be there and just not have been detected because of position or something. I am sending prayers your way!! Don't lose hope!! It can happen!
