Implantation bleeding or period!!!!!

Hi ladies I'm confused day 24 of my cycle a week after I think I ovulated I started what I thought was my period but only bled very lightly not like my usual period. It lasted for 2 days then stopped. I took a test day 27 2 days before my expected period I used a first response test but it came back negative! Did I test too early?? Could I still be pregnant?
