Possible Miscarriage?
Sorry for asking you to share a personal emotional moment(s) in your lives. I appreciate any input you are willing to share.
Monday (5w4d pregnant) at 330am i got up to pee and noticed bright red blood when I wiped. I called my Dr when they opened and the nurse said to just relax with feet up, no lifting (easier said than done with a 15month old)
Monday and tuesday I bled quite a bit, passing quarter sizes clots but they didn't look any different than period type clots. I haven't been cramping. Had our sons 15 month check up yesterday (wednesday; would have been 5w6d pregnant) talked to dr and he just said to wait until bleeding stops then go to Lab and get a HCG test done.
I know its more likely an early miscarriage but I'm trying to stay positive.
Positive side: we have a perfect 15 month old son who is the light of our lives.
Do my symptoms sound like a miscarriage?
Thanks for sharing.

First off so sorry this is happening to you. It does sound to me like a early miscarriage these were my exact symptoms I went to the ER and found out at 16 weeks the baby had dies around 14 weeks this was definetly a hard thing to swallow although it is common to have bleeding in early pregnancy passing clots is not normal I would def get in and get blood drawn gl to you I hope it all works out

Dear Mcmawmaw,
I'm so sorry you're going through what is a very difficult and confusing time. You don't know what your body is doing and it's frustrating and even frightening. I've had two natural mcs at just over 4 weeks and again at 5 weeks 2 days after positive pregnancy tests. The bleeding was period like though the second one was accompanied by intense cramping and I passed bigger clots and grayish material (sorry for the TMI). For both pregnancies, I went after the bleeding subsided to have an ultrasound to confirm the uterus was clean and to receive a rhogam shot as I'm A- and my husband is positive. You CAN go in now to get blood drawn to determine HCG levels to see if they are rising or falling which may reassure you or at least identify if the pregnancy is no longer viable. An ultrasound now may not tell you enough as you're still early. Bleeding is common but not normal. I had it with this pregnancy.
