Question

Slow rising HCG - not ectopic - any hope? If not, fertility mpacts of induced m/c?

Slow rising HCG level, doctor says 80% chance of miscarraige. 6 weeks since LMP. On 1/28 HCG 1500, 1/30 HCG 1850, 1/31 HCG 1950.
Worst depression of my life. Stories on Internet all end badly. I can't imagine surviving the waiting game, when it seems eventually I will miscarry at 8, 9, or 12 weeks. Feel trapped in my body. First pregnancy, 36 years old. Please, advice - how to stay sane, any hope? Does inducing impact fertility?

I don't want to sugar coat aything as there is NOTHING worse than false hope BUT there is always hope :) stranger things have happened! I hope it is just a slow hormone producing pregnancy and all will end well but if not I don't think forcing a miscarriage or a narual miscarriage will effect future pregnancis or fertility. Many women go on to have another perfect pregnancy their next cycle! What happens as much as it hurts and sucks it happens for a reason sad as it is :( Good luck hope all turns out well! And doctors are not always right they usually see black and white but not the gray in between... always have a little hope!

I am 31 years old, second pregnancy, both ended in miscarriage. This one, my levels were MUCH higher than last time (11,046 at exactly six weeks and only 14,404 four days later), but they were still too slow to rise and I knew something was wrong. I obsessively searched things on the internet to cling to hope because I wanted to believe in a miracle this time. I couldn't bear the thought of miscarrying again after having lost a pregnancy in October (6 weeks along).

I miscarried yesterday at 10 weeks. My doctor kept telling me to stay positive, but I knew the writing was on the wall for me. I'd seen a heartbeat at 6 weeks. It seems I'm through the worst part (the first 24 hours were bad for me last time too) but I know the fear you're experiencing. I went crazy with worry.

The only thing I can say is stop Googling everything. Enjoy the experience, and hope for the best. There is nothing you can do to change the outcome. Hope for the best, prepare for the worst.
