Higher Clomid dose

I'm on my second round of Clomid 50mg. I seem to be ovulating but no baby. When and why do they move up doses? Is it only if you aren't ovulating on the lower dose?

They are aiming for 2-4 mature follicles with Clomid if you are giving that on the lower dose then they will leave you there. If not, then they will up the dose. If they up it they run the risk of diminished lining, so they try to avoid that, plus they are trying to avoid multiples. The more failed cycles you have the more aggressive they will get with meds.
