Question

Nearly positive OPK after O?

Does it mean anything if your OPK is nearly positive (test line nearly as dark as control but not quite) after O?

I thought I was 4DPO (3 high temps then didn't take it this morning as we were staying at a hotel). I've got PCOS & thought I'd O'd by myself with no meds & now this nearly positive OPK, I'm so confused!

Difficult to say for sure. Studies have shown that although we only ovulate once each cycle, the hormonal surge can come in waves. This could mean that your OPK picked up a wave, but no egg was released and another wave is on it's way. Or you should simply see a negative test as a negative test (it needs to be same strength or stronger to count as positive). Maybe test again later today or tomorrow to see if it changes?

As long as u got 3 high temps after ur suspected O date, then dont worry about the almost positive OPK. U can have a couple surges after O, its very common. Also very common to have a surge a day or two before AF shows. Save ur cash and stop testing. Best of Luck! =))
