TTC after the Mirena
We all I am sure that are TTC read and read till we are blue in the face. Only trying to find a answer to our worries.
I had my Mirena IUD removed the beginning on March. I had it close to the 5 year mark. I have a son that is 8 years old from a previous marriage. My new husband (no kids of his own) and I have been trying since removal to conceive. So 7 months from March.
My cycles have been pretty regular since removal (not having any periods at all while on the Mirena). I had the withdrawl bleeding and then three weeks later a cycle continuing every 32 days give a day or two but on point.
This last cycle was 28 days ---- BIG difference. I am curious to know if maybe my body is still reacting and finally maybe getting to normal and maybe it's coming close to finally conceiving?

I had the Mirena as well! I had mine removed earlier than 5 year mark. I was supposed to get removed in May 2013 but did it in Nov. 2012 instead to TTC. I am experiencing something similar except a little prolonged compared to yours. Ive always been irregular, but more so with the Mirena. But i have noticed my past 2 cycles are actually getting close to "normal' for me and its been almost a year. I think your body is probably doing the same thing just at a faster rate than how mine is going. :)

I have so many comments and stories regarding TTC after the Mirena - some place me with hope - and some put a draper on things.
Some that get pregnant so quickly post Mirena and some waiting months and months and some years.
I thought that maybe it takes some a little longer for their body to react that the hormone releasing Mirena isn't no longer there... but SEVEN months... I would surely think that it would be out of my system.
I am really hoping for you and me both and any other woman trying gets our turn soon!

I know how you feel. One thing my ob gyn did tell me is that sometimes it can take up to 3-5 months for a womans utern lining to thicken back up. So i tell myself i must be one of the ones where it takes me longer. It sucks for us, but I know we will get there one day! *Baby dust for us late bloomers!* :)
