Question

Questionable hcg levels. I'm worried!

Last Monday my hcg was 2246 on dpo 22. This morning- exactly one week later- it was 9471 (dpo29). My doctor is concerned because this seems slow. I calculated it and I'm doubling every 81 hours at this rate. I thought I had read that above 6,000, every 96 hours is ok. I'm going again on Wednesday a.m. to check it again, but the next two days are going to be torture for me.

On Friday (exactly 6 wks gestational age), I had an u/s which showed a gestational sac, but it was too small to see anything inside. My ob/gyn didn't seem worried then. She said the embryo should appear in the next week or so and we'd repeat the scan later to see.

Does anyone have anything to share? Did any of you have seemingly slow rising hcgs that turned out ok?

Over 1200 it doubles every 78-96hrs which is completely normal and totally fine. Most drs stop doing bloods at 6 weeks as an ultrasound scan is more reliable

It sounds completely normal to me. If there was a gestational sac, then you'll see the baby next time.
