i guess it wouldn't hurt to do that especially if you have no idea when you usually ovulate, but I personally start around cycle day 12 (cycle day 1 being the first day of my period) and I ovulate anywhere from day 13-20. be sure to use the tests more than once a day. I got a little lackadaisical one month and only did them sporadically and I missed my O day. also the line has to be as dark as the control line to actually be positive. good luck!!

U can ovulate as early as CD5, so if u know roughly how long ur shortest cycle in the last 6 months is, take that number and minus 19 days from it, thats when u start testing. 16 days for the longest ur luteal length would be without a pregnancy, 1 day for ovulation and 2 days for testing before potential ovulation. U purposely choose the shortest cycle u've had, so that u can have a rough idea as to when u would ovulate and not miss it. As u get used to tracking things and see how long ur luteal phase length is, then u can adjust the test days better. And definitely test twice a day, never FMU, go with second or third urine then test again 10-12hrs later...u shouldnt miss it then.
