Question

SPOTTING AT 16DPO HELP

Hey girls, help needed if possible? I was due for AF on monday but she never turned up, did a test monday and yesterday with FMU and nothing... BFN ...
Now today, i thought AF arrived, even though ive had no pms pains which i normally get quite bad.. sorry if this is TMI but the colour to it was really quite pink, and very light.... Now it's stopped, so i'm doubting if this is actually AF. What could this be? Last month my cycle was 38 days, but i never experienced any spotting?
I did have a biopsy on friday and they had to remove part of my cervix.. i only bled for a few hours after so i don't think thats contributing?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. x

Hi there! Well it could be anything really. It seems you have a long cycle so it could be implantation bleeding. Most women don't get that or cramps, and others get just spotting and some get both cramps and bleeding. So honestly really can't say, it depends on when you ovulated and everything. Being that you had surgery last Friday it could explain why your period is late because sometimes surgery can either 1 delay your period or 2 bring it on sooner. Everyone is different and experiences things differently. My suggestion is wait a week, don't test because if did experience implantation bleeding it can take almost a week for the hcg levels to get high enough to show up. The hormone doubles every 2-3 days so give it sometime which why I said wait a week, if you test after a week and its still negative, I would give your ob a call and let them know what is going on. Best of luck and baby dust to you!!
