Implantation or Ovulation Spotting?????

I have cycles that range from 21-25 days. (In the 10 plus cycles I have tracked). On CD10 I had copious amounts of brown CM/discharge release when I went to the bathroom. When I wiped there was more brown discharge/CM. After this, it disappeared. I have been looking online as to what causes midcycle bleeding and the most I find is it's either Ovulation or Implantation spotting. I have never spotted like this midcycle. The CM was not clear tinged with streaks. Rather all the CM was an even amount of brown. I thought I might have an infection but my OBGYN ruled that out. (Ironically I had my annual the next day). He stated Ovulation spotting is more rare than implantation spotting. We are not actively trying and use withdrawal method. I am not on BC. Although if this was implantation spotting it would be maybe 2-4 dpo. Most of what I have read states that is too early. I don't temp or use opks so I can't really be sure of date of O. So, anyone have stories like this? Were you pregnant?

I'll get back to you in a couple weeks or so! I don't normally do any sort of spotting after AF (always CD1-4) - this cycle I ovulated early (CD9) and I had dark brown discharge on CD9 and 10. I was wondering if this was ovulation bleeding, though I don't normally spot at all.

Guess we'll find out. I hope you get the answer you're hoping for, either way. :)

Interesting! How long are your cycles usually? I have only ever charted based on Cycle length. I have no idea if I ovulate early with a long LP or the other way around or the standard. I just know the 2 times I got pregnant I BD during my "fertile window" and that worked. Now when trying to decipher something that has never happened with my body I know it depends on O date and I don't know that unfortunately. I will be interested to hear how the outcome is for you and I will make sure to update as well. I know reading other peoples stories and outcomes helps me. Good luck!
