Weird ovulation

Ok so lately my cycles have been weird. One month I have a 28 day cycle then the next month it's really long then back to 28 days again. This may be a stupid question but is it possible that one ovary just takes longer?

It could be that it takes longer if also that only one works and every other month you have a anovulatory cycle.
