Will I be able to see anything on ultrasound at 6w 4d (gestational age)?
Hi guys, I'm pregnant for the second time after a miscarriage 3 months ago. I have appointment for an ultrasound on Monday, which will make me 6w 4d from LMP. Do you think we'll be able to see anything, or even confirm the pregnancy at this stage? so excited!

Congrats!! My last pregnancy (ended in missed miscarriage though), I had my 2nd u/s at 6w2d and we were able to see and hear the heartbeat - so we were able to see the little bean and all!!! My dates were spot on, I know exactly when I ovulated so there was no variation. It all depends on the quality of the equipment used, so don't freak out if you don't see as much. Good luck!!

My doctor said by 7 weeks they for sure would see a heartbeat, 6w2d might be a bit early, although we were able to see a heartbeat at 5w4d - which was admittedly on the early side. It also, as as Sheaby said, depends a lot on the quality of the equipment. At the very least, you should be able to see the gestational sac (just looks like a black circle) and maybe the yolk sac (just looks like a white circle in the black circle) and maybe a little bulge that's the baby itself. Good luck!!
