Be patient! They can't detect heartbeat till I think 6-7 weeks if not later
I see my midwife for first time 23 may and I will be 11 weeks 3 days
So just wait,enjoy relax x

wasn't helpful, I had a miscarriage at 6wks, so i.m eager to hear a heartbeat, will they give me a early scan because of what happened to me?

you will be able to hear or see a heart beat by then. Keep your appt and keep calm :) I know it's very scary. I don't get dopplar heartbeats on my pregnancies till about 16-17 weeks-due to a tipped uterus- they like to camp out in my spine..LOL.... I always have to have a scan- it's sooooo scary. But anxiety is bad for the baby, so just keep sweet thoughts in your head :) good luck!!

At exactly 6 wks my scan showed a yolk sac and no baby...i did a lot of reading on this and a lot f women say it can be 8 wks before u hear the heartbeat...and sometimes even later...although, I know some do say they hear at 6 wks.. Because of this variance, if I were u, I would stick to your original app..

In addition, personally I would try and see him at 7 weeks if u can hold out that long...as I think this is *closer* to the average time to hear heartbeat , but I know, easier said
