Advil warning for those who have doubts they maybe pregnant or are actually pregnant!

I did something very stupid on implantation day!

I was stricken by a low-grade fever and severe muscle pain so I took 3 Advil pills (ibuprofen). The next morning I took one more. In the afternoon I took a pregnancy test and came out positive.

I did an online research and in turned out ibuprofen is absolute No No during pregnancy as it relaxes the muscles (bear in mind the uterus is also a muscle) and it can lead to miscarriage, especially during the first trimester. This finding threw me in despair.

I am now 6 weeks preggo and everything looks fine but I thought I should share so people don't do idiotic things like me! Paracetamol is the only best friend from now on.

Glad all ok I don't take anything during 2ww but sometimes needs must I guess x

I wont take anything in my tww. Try magnesium if u dont wanna take paracetamol anymore. It will help with headaches, constipation, muscle aches, morning sickness...a boatload of stuff, and its natural and baby safe. Congrats! =))

Didn't know I was pregnant. I thought I was coming down with a flu or something + my body really hurt so I decided to cut the pain off right from the beginning....ugh! So far I am good though, hope it stays that way.

Yes, I am taking magnesium for the headaches. You told me before on one of my previous posts, so I am following your instructions :) It does help!

Haha, thats funny...I love mag, I try to recommend it to everyone cuz it is so much better for baby and mom. I'll make a mental note so I dont tell u again lol! ;))

No worries, you can tell me another 100 times. This is my first pregnancy so Any advice is much appreciated! Because of you I am also breaking my prenatals into two lol ....the main criminals for my headaches :D

Yes, prenatals + 250 mg of mag and for the last day or so I took 2 pills of paracetamol ....as I got another flu to deal with ugh! Not as bad as the first one but still annoying.

BTW its not only ibuprofen but all anti inflammatories (NSAIDs). Trebles miscarriage risk.

Good to know! After my solid ibuprofen intake I am now Very Careful with the pills.
