Clomid usually lengthens your follicular phase, between CD 1 and ovulation. It won't affect your luteal phase, from ovulation to AF. Your LP stays the same, won't change more than maybe a day or two. Your follicular phase can vary wildly. If Clomid works for you you will normally ovulate about 8 to 10 days after the last day of taking the pill. I took it CD 5-9 and o'd on cd 18. So if you took it those days you'll probably have a longer cycle than the "average" 28 days. Progesterone check confirmed my ovulation, but I knew what day by my chart. Especially if you're on Clomid you need to be charting religiously. You can only take it about 6 months before it can start to have negative effects. So if you've pinpointed ovulation, and you know what your normal luteal phase is, you'll know when your period is due. If you don't know your LP length, assume 12 to 16 days. The book Taking Charge of Your Fertility will teach you all you need to know.
