is 0.3 degrees fahrenheit enough of a bbt shift?
my old question with more details in the answer...
http://www.countdowntopregnancy.com/answers/question.php?qid=35379
Also... I don't do cm because it isn't really reliable in my case. Usually I just go by temps, but I tried using OPKs this cycle (pretty sure I just wasted a bunch of money).
I am pretty sure I should ovulate this cycle b/c I have been every other the last few cycles (I think I might have one bum ovary - is that possible?). and last cycle was annovulatory. Today I still have ovary cramps, but a little milder.
Is it possible that the OPKs were negative because I was using fmu?
Do you think I could have ovulated with that small (.3) of a temp shift? (mine are usually .5 or .6+)
Or does it look like another annovulatory cycle in the making? :(
Do I just need to wait to see if my temps stay elevated?

The technical "rules" to confirm O are at least a .2 degree rise about the previous 6 temps that is sustained for at least 3 days. So as long as your temp stays above what you had today for the next 2 days or longer, you can officially say you ovulated.
As for the OPKs, it is not recommended that you use fmu. You should be testing twice a day between 11 am and 8 am. Make sure to hold for a couple hours with no drinking. LH is produced in the afternoon and not in the morning, so that could explain why you keep getting negatives. Also, some women have short surges that would be missed only testing once a day.
Keep temping and using the OPKs and see what happens. :) Good luck!
