evap line on dollar general hpt's....do they work?

ok so im not sure when i ovulated so im going to give the whole run down sorry if tmi....i had a miscarriage and d&c done on april 18th of this year did not bleed much...i got a normal period may 25th for full 6 days...then again june 10th( this is kind of normal for me at times because i am known to be irregular) af showed back up july 4th full force for 5-7 days(no spotting just bam and she was there)... on July 24th i started feeling slightly crampy and had VERY light pinkish and brown spotting for about 2 1/2 days...ive never had implantation bleeding and from what ive read it could be just that....i just dont know when i ovulated....i took dollar store teststwo days in a row start monday BFN...WAITED A WHOLE DAY AND GAVE IN AND TOOK ONE TODAY it said to wait up to 5 min nothing over that so i did,5 min on the mark there was the fintest line almost had to squint to see it.so my?is do you think i should retest and judging by info does it sound promising or was that spotting af??
