What will the doctor do???
I have my first appoinment with real obgyn doctor soon instead of nurse practioners. What will she do besides the obvious regular exam? I haven't had a period in goig on 5 months so I am assuming she will do something right? Will she do bloodwork, give me medication to stimulate ovulation, and ultrasound???? I know I am not ovulating I have over 60 days of my bbt's and clearly there is no ovulation going on. I am praying its something easily fixable but I am scared I have premature ovarian syndrome at worst case. I am just worried sick, I want to pregnant and I want it soon. I've waited so long for the perfect time and now its all slipping aways from me :( I just want to know whats wrong with me so I can actually have an opportunity to have a baby! Sorry just venting really and getting out my stress and fears :(

It's very natural to be nervous before your appointment, especially if you think something is wrong! Most likely, the doctor will take you into their office to discuss your medical history. It's VERY important not to leave anything out even if it's embarrassing for you. After that, she'll give you a physical exam and probably order blood tests to measure your hormone levels. That will give them some direction to narrow down what the problem might be (if there is one). I know they can give you Prevara to stimuate blood flow (it takes about 10 days for your period to arrive on that medicine). They'll most likely also monitor your next natural cycle to see exactly what's going on. I'd recommend asking lots of questions to make sure you understand everything and DON'T do too much research online afterward. It'll make you think you have every disease under the sun & it's usually not accurate. Good luck with your appointment and don't worry if you can help it! :)
