Question

Wondering if I could be pregnant

I have been on the birth control pill for about 9 months now. The last pack of pills I missed 2 in a row and started spotting (breakthrough bleeding possibly) and I haven't started a normal period since then. I have taken a pregnancy test about a week ago and it was negative. These passed few days my breasts have been feeling really heavy, full, and sore but not tender to the touch. It is more of a burning sensation. Is it possible that I ovulated during those days I missed the pills and became pregnant? When would I be able to take a test for an accurate result?

It is possible that the missed pills were around the time of ovulation... For an accurate result on a pregnancy test I'd say in your case (since you're not sure when you ovulated) to calculate 4 to 5 weeks after the first day of your last period and take a test then. If you are already late it should be accurate, but if you still don't get your period I'd recommend seeing your doctor to get a blood pregnancy test.
