HCG shot and IUI on the same day?
I had a positive OPK on the 30th, went in on the 31st for the ultrasound and IUI. My lining is perfect and I did have one mature egg, but it hadn't released yet. It was 35 mm!!! They gave me an HCG shot, but continued with the IUI the same day?!?! I have read that they will give the shot, then have you come in the next day for the IUI. Has anyone expierenced this? If so, what were the results? Thanks in advance

I haven't experienced that but have had 4 IUI's. As you said they normally trigger, wait a day and then do the insemination. I think you should be fine anyway because sperm last up to 5 days inside you. If you don't have blocked tubes or anything I would probably be doing the deed as well. I hope it works out perfectly. Don't forget it will take up to 14 days for the hcg to disappear (mine was normally gone by 11 days and I'd test to see if the line was getting darker around then) Also don't forget that you'll probably ovulate 36-48 hours after the trigger so although most people count days post iui as days post ovulation you'll be 1-2 days behind so don't panic if you don't get a bfp til a day or two later.
