Update on the progesterone strips - I've been using the cream since 3 dpo, but only once a day. I felt like that was enough, but apparently not. I took the progesterone at home dip strip on CD21 and it was negative, albeit faintly. Which means my progesterone was less than 10. So I've upped using the cream to twice to three times a day just in case. I'm 10dpo-ish now, and still getting BFNs so probably didn't catch the egg at all this month, which is why my pg was low...but still. I'll use the strip test again next month, but do it at 4dpo like they recommend to confirm ovulation. I might just not be ovulating on my own anymore.
I also want to try the softcup thing where DH "deposits" directly into the softcup and then you insert and keep it in for 12 hrs? Heck, I'm willing to try anything. I want my . At this point, the clinics near me won't even do IVF - I'm too old.

Calvingirl, i use soft cups but i have sex and when he's "done" i insert the cup and lay with my hips elevated for 15 min. The things we try. Lol.????

@Calvingirl. I didn't know there was progesterone strips and if that is the case, I wouldn't know how to use them. I have never tried the soft cups as when hubby is finished, we just lie there for 10 min and just cuddle and then we get up. I'm using the progesterone cream Emerita and I use it twice a day but I am just hoping that I am using enough but I don't think too much will hurt, I just think not having enough is the issue. Since ovulation I noticed a bit more creamy cm and then it went dry for a few days and now it seems to be picking up again. When do you plan on testing?

@Kelliria. I agree. The things we do to get a baby. I used the pillow during the fertile week. I heard somewhere that if a lady cums (TMI) that her cervix drops lower and it sits in the sperm. Now I can be wrong but who knows.

Ladies, I was looking at getting more progesterone cream so that I won't run out. I won't be buying the lavender cream as the scent is too strong, even for me. I was looking on Amazon.ca and I found that they are selling single dose packs of 48. What do you ladies think is the better deal? Single dose (take the guess work out) or buying the tube and then play the guessing game to see if you have the right amount. Any suggestions is helpful.

I see people talk about progesterone, I am confused honestly. Do you know you need it or just take it to be safe?

@Shanta - good luck! to catch that elusive egg...

@chirstlover - You only really need it if you know you have a luteal phase defect and/or low progesterone. I'm 42 and have been diagnosed with both by a specialist, but because of a change in insurance with my new job, I can't see that specialist anymore. So I'm going it alone...but not without all the info I learned before I left.

@dragonfly - It's what you are comfortable with. The cream isn't as critical with dose as suppositories or shots, so I think you are ok either way. Your body is going to randomly absorb and process an amount of the cream that probably won't be 20mg anyway. I use it twice a day and that strip came out negative - so apparently my body isn't absorbing much at all. For next cycle, I'm going to go back to my OB and see if she'll give me the progesterone suppositories again.

@kelliria - Yes, I've used softcups that way too. But I'm on my 31st cycle of trying with no luck (only one CP, so it's not even like it's a multiple miscarriage thing). I'm thinking of trying this way once (as unromantic as it is) because it's most like an IUI which my doctor recommended.

AFM, This site bumped me back to 10dpo today, which I don't think is right (I think I'm 12), but whatever. I tested this morning and got nothing, but it wasn't that concentrated. For the past couple of nights I've had less than 5 hrs sleep and it's taking its toll. DH has the flu. Stepkids are going nuts. I'm exhausted and the house is falling apart - plus I'm pretty sure I'm out this cycle. I'm crampy and had spotting once yesterday that immediately stopped which I can hope is implantation bleeding, but probably isn't. I'm due for AF in 4 days.

@calvingirl ok that helps me understand a little more when I am reading things. I didn't know if people take it just to be safe or not.

@shanta77 click community and then ticker to fix it. thats how mine is but it also goes off your chart. you ahve to go to your calendar and pick the day you ovulated and it will fix it for you.
