BYOB: We Need Some BFPs!!

Hi ladies!

Well, it's that time again! Lets kick things off the same as usual, with an update...

My name is Joy
I am 28, and dh is 29
we've been together almost 10yrs
Got married and bought a house together in 2009
From Canada
I'm currently a housewife, but hope to soon be a stay at home mom
I got pg back in the summer of 2010 then m/c'd at 8 weeks
We ttc for 8 cycles after the m/c, (10 months)
We have a nursery room all set up waiting for baby
I got my BFP on June 30th 2011
Went for an u/s b/c of spotting on Aug 12 2011 @ 10 weeks
Baby only measured 8 weeks with no heartbeat
M/c began Aug 18th
Since then I have been rushed to the hospital 3 times for excessive bleeding (once via ambulance cause I passed out)
I have had 2 emergency D&C's, 2 Folley Ballooons, 3 blood transfusions of 2 bags each, & a Hysteroscopey. (Not to be confused with a "HysterECTAMY")
I FINALLY got my 1st af on Nov 17th
I couldnt ttc the last 2 cycles, but we are hoping to be back at it this cycle!
I am currently on cd11
Right now I am taking my prenatal vitamin, my iron suppliment, and am chartting my bbt. I plan on using opks this weekend (hoping dh will be home in time for O) and when we bd we will use preseed!

Wow thats getting to be a loooooong into!!

This is the best group out there - these ladies are all amazing!! They are my online bffs and I love them all! Dont know what I would do without you ladies!!

Hope everyone had a great Monday!!!
Joy

Hi Ladies,

My name is Jess.
Both my DH and I are 30.
Been TTC #1 since Sept 2010.
Lost a baby at 18 weeks in March 2011 due to a neural tube defect. Lost our second baby at 17 weeks in Oct 2011 due to another NTD.
Just started ttc again in Dec. I am currently 1DPO and hoping for a Valentine's Day BFP!

Baby dust to everyone!

Hello ladies!

Rogers: I agree with Joy; I'd check w/ a Dr regarding your heart. Better to play it safe.

Cris: wow that is so long to wait! Why the heck so long?! Is it a specialist or just a regular Obgyn?

Joy: I'm sorry dh is sick. Any news yet what it is?

Jess: Welcome! And I'm sooo sorry about your losses! I'm praying that you get your healthy sticky bean asap!

AFM; this month I've started EPO, Vitex, baby Asprin, Red Rapberry Leaf Tea and I'll be doing Progesterone cream after O. I'm not TTC this month but I want to get my body ready. Once I'm ttc I'll also use Preseed and Royal Jelly. I'm also taking opks to see if I'm ovulating. So far no LH surge. Which is confusing to me because before I was pg, I O'd around CD12-13 and I had short cycles around 25 days. But I'm on cd 14 and still no surge. I wonder if I'm going to O later than I normally do. If so hopefully I don't have a short LP.

Hi ladies!

Nicole - Nope, no news about dh yet... he was feeling a bit better today though, so hopefully that is a good sign. He goes to see the doctor again tomorrow, so hopefully he will have the results!
Hopefully you get your +opk soon... sounds like you are trying out everything this month! Just a note... I would maybe check with your doc about the baby asprin... i think it might have played a part in all my problems with my m/c... not sure, but I would ask just to be safe!

Jess - Welcome! So sorry to hear about your losses! Have your doctors suggest for you to do/take anything different this time around to try and prevent you getting pregnant and m/c-ing again due to a NTD?

Bug - Thanks hun. I will hopefully know more on the dh front tomorrow.
I usually come on here a LOT when dh is home, just checking the threads to see whats happeneing all the time but oddly enough I tend not to have as much time when he's not home! LoL!
I hope you're light/short af isnt because you arent producting good lining (or maybe enough?) to shed during af. Have you asked your doc about it?

AFM - Took an opk this eve cause I found out I had enough to test from today through Wednesday next week so I am covered. It was negitive, with only a hint of a second line, so hopefully that means it will be a couple days before I O and dh will be home for it. Was a little worried though cause I have had quite a bit of cm the past 2 days!!

Hope everyone is having a great week!
Joy

Expecting - Yeah, I am on 6mg of folic acid plus a prenatal vitamin. They couldn't tell me any other reason my babies did not develop properly. It's been quite stressful. I hope you get a pos opk in time for your husband to get home.

I got a UTI today and am on antibiotics now. I sure hope this doesn't ruin our chances this cycle (2dpo). I know getting sick before you O can delay it, but I'm not sure how it effects you after O?

Hello!

Just got back from my Ultrasound and have great news! I am finally done with this mc! YIPEE! My uterus is clear & the lining looks great! Plus the tech said that it looks like I just O'd today. So I'm not sure why it didn't show up with my opk but it's great to know that I'm Oing! So it looks like I'm good to go now! Sooo happy and relieved this is over with and I can move on to TTC next cycle!

Joy: Hmm thats interesting about the baby Aspirin. I'll check it out. The only reason I'm trying it is to prevent a mc. I read online that blood clots can cause mc and that baby Aspirin thins the blood. But if it's not safe then I definitely don't want to try it! Ya, I'm trying it all this time! haha! Most of this stuff is new to me. The only thing I was using before was the Vitex (and prenatals of course).

What about everyone else? Anyone trying any of this? Any feedback or advice?

Jess: I'm sorry about being sick! Hopefully it doesn't interfere!

hi ladies,

thats great news nicole!

after the heart issue the other night i have been much better, it stopped beating fast after about 2 hours.

i have been extremely tired for the past few days, im about 7-8 days past o. i wake up and im fine but as the day goes on im very tired. then last night i had a fever and sorry for tmi diarrhea, then today iam constipated. slightly sore breasts but nothing too bad.

went to a party today and felt nauseas while i was eating my lunch and then found out that the host is 12 weeks pregnant! so now there are 2 babies due in august. her partner asked us when we will be spreading some news, i just smiled and said we are trying. it just makes me wonder what are we doing different?

anyway im feeling confident and way more relaxed this time so im hoping we cought the eggie this month.

hoping to hear more ladies into the 2ww soon! only 6 or so more days till af is due for me so its a tough week ahead

Hello ladies!

Joy - Glad you had fun at the concert! Is Dh home yet? Is he feeling better? I hope you can get some in there! Welcome back to TTC!

Nicole - Wonderful news! It's great that you're finally done with the m/c! I'm starting Vitex when AF shows up. How do you take it? 2 or 4 a day? From CD1 to O day? Throughout your whole cycle? I'm unsure how to use it and I don't want to screw up the effects by taking it wrong.

MrsRogers - I've had similar episodes with my heart. It doesn't beat fast but it'll beat really hard once in a while. Especially if I'm really tired and I'm lying down. I hope your symptoms bring you a BFP!

AFM, I'm trudging through my report cards. I can't wait to be done! I don't really have any symptoms. My bbs barely hurt which is weird because usually by this time I'm in agony.AF should be here around the 9th so I'm in the second part of the TWW. I'm not hopeful at all this time though. I know I can't get pg without help so there's no point in obsessing over symptoms.
Well, back to my report cards! I'll be checking in periodically to see if there's any BFP!!

Hi ladies!

Cris - Good luck with the report cards... hopefully they will be over with soon! Dh is feeling quite a bit better, it's kinda moved on to just a moderate cold. Doc said he was good to travel (throat culture came back normal) so Yay!!

MrsRogers -

Nicole - YAY!!! I am so happy you are finally finished with the m/c!!! That is amazingly good news!! As for the baby asprin, I heard it doesnt thin your blood too much, but its also supposed to stregthen the uterus lining... so it apparently can be helpful IF its actually needed for that purpose, but I would definitely talk to your doc! As for the other stuff... I have only ever used the EPO. It's supposed to have a decently high success rate on the very first month of use (it worked for me the first time) so hopefully it will help!!

Jess - glad to hear your doc is making sure you're on the folic acid, were you taking it before any of the other pregnancies? I really hate that doctors dont look into why things dont work out... my doc said until I have had at LEAST 3 m/c's they wont even think about looking into why it's happening,. (& thats not just my doc, it's just the standard here)

AFM - Dh should be home in about 3 hrs!! I am so excited!!

AND my opk was still negitive today so he will definitely be here for O day!!

Had an amazing time at a concert last night, however the band came out 15 years ago, and the girls I was sitting with were apparently only 20!! So they were 5 at the time!! Thats sick! AND they were suck teeny-boppers!! They were screaming, standing on their chairs and even had a sign saying how they wanted to be their girlfriend.... the guys in the band are all married for crying out loud and even the youngest one is 7 years older than you!! Grrr.... lol, made me feel very old!

hope everyone is good!
Joy
