Welcome back Woozle and Miracle! Kinda quiet around here. I'm on dreaded TWW and it's killing me.
8dpo and everything is a symptom. ugh. Which is ridiculous because when I had the chemical pregnancy in August, I had no symptoms whatsoever.
DH and I just booked a cruise for next February. This is our "NTNP" reward because this was our last medicated cycle and we're not going to 100% anymore. I needed something to look forward to - but now I'm just worried that I'm going to succeed and then I'll be pregnant on a cruise, which will not be as much fun.
Man, I'm a worrywart.
How are you guys doing?

@miracle, yeah. I know that feeling. I'm 42 and my DH is 40 also, although I don't turn 43 till next summer. It feels like it's not going to happen for us either. It's a hard thing to face. I'm trying my best to reimagine a different future and come to terms with it. I have one DS and he has four.... So maybe I'll save all my baby stuff for grandchildren. That's depressing, I know.

Hi ladies,
Thought I'd drop in and say hello and give an update, hopefully it will give all the older ladies some hope. As some of you know I was actively trying to conceive for over 2 1/2 years and to be honest I was going through the motions but had given up hope. I live in the U.K. And couldn't get fertility treatments on the NHS because of my age and couldn't afford private treatment. Thankfully I found some wonderful women on here and got great advice, knowledge and support.
I'm now a happily tired 45 year old mummy of a 19wk old baby boy called Rhain. I had gestational diabetes and had to inject and poke my fingers so much I thought I'd leak ;) They had trouble getting him out and he had seizures because of it but thankfully they stopped and we can both get some sleep now. I didn't want to post until everything was ok.
It was all worth it so no matter what your age don't give up!! Even if you get to the stage of going through the motions at ovulation it can still happen, it did for me.
I used macca root and Angus castus from cd01 until ovulation and cleaned my cervix (with a cup of water mixed with half teaspoon of bicarbonate soda), to get rid of hostile cm 20 mins before bd'ing.
Thank you to everyone I've spoke to over the years, couldn't have done it without you all.

Thank you for updating Kerzie. Congratulations and I'm so glad that everything is ok now with your LO. How scary...
I love his name. Is it pronounced Rain? My nephew is Rainer and I suggested the name to my sister and she choose it - so I'm partial to it.
I've never done the baking soda wash thing...I might try that this month. Can you do the cleanse and then use pre-seed too? I'll look into it. I'm already on the maca.

Kerzie!!!!! Congratulations! I am so happy for you.
I am back ttc at my 47th birthday for a sister (per my dream a few nights ago) for my now 4yo (and his 20 and 17yo sisters).
Good luck everyone!
We had a m/c in May and I am very definitely perimenopausal, so I told my husband that if we didn't have a natural conception this cycle we should explore fertility treatments, if they will even talk to us at my age.
Baby dust for all,
MM
