High Blood Pressure and pregnancy

Hi,

what are people's thoughts on seeing a doctor before 8 weeks pregnant if I have hypertension ? I have been medicated for it for 4 years now, however, I haven't taken in it since June. My BP isn't out of control at the moment, but it's been borderline to being high. I'm a little nervous about how this will effect a pregnancy going into it hypertensive. I'm 30 years old and 7 dpo, don't plan on testing until Friday.
