Current 11dpo looking for fellow first timers for support

Hi all, we have been TTC our first for 6 months now and I have been on these boards reading almost every single day, this process has now gotten so obsessive to me my DH is tired of me over analyzing everything only to be let down with a BFN every single month.

I'm 11dpo now, AF is due on Saturday (5/14) and I have taken probably 6 internet cheapies since 9dpo and I keep getting BFN. Every month I feel like I get the symptoms, then just chalk them up to AF time. This month has been a bit different:

0-7dpo: Not much change, I just noticed I was VERY gassy (like I am during AF) and bloated
8dpo: breasts got very tender and I was woken up to cramps during the night.
9dpo: breasts still tender, starting to get noticeable veins, mild cramps on and off again waking me up in the night. BFN (tested today because of Mother's Day, thought it would be a sign and a welcome surprise)
10dpo: Still bloated/gassy, breast tenderness goes down, veins disappearing, thick CM appears BFN
11dpo: Today - breasts only sore to the touch. Still bloated and gassy. No hints of anything else.

I am one who has VERY painful cramps at AF time and never thought I really cramped beforehand, the last few months I've gotten these mild cramps a couple of days early which then led to AF, but this time they were a full 7 days before AF which has never happened and I feel this is making me obsess even more.

I hope you ladies accept me into the community! I just know and hope having some support will help ease my mind and if another BFN pops up I know I will need the help to get through it and start from scratch again :(

@luckykap - Thx! We were only able to BD on cycle days 9, 11 and 14. I usually ovualte between CD 13-15, but I have no idea when I did this month as I didn't bother with opk's while we were away. Good luck with your appt on Sunday! Sending lots of follicle growing vibes your way!

@babybump - OMG - good luck today! You can totally do this!!!
I did notice some sharp pain on the left side of my uterus the night before last (enough to wake me up), which was 6-7ish DPO. I have never experienced that before, but I didn't have any bleeding. We'll see- I think because I really didn't expect to even be able to try this month, that I am just not that hopeful and am not finding the TWW too bad so far! Keep us posted on how it goes today!

@ Alibaba - Welcome! The second half of the cycle starts to feel like an eternity once you start trying! If your cycles are irregular, it should defintely be helpful to use the opk's. I was tracking my cycle with OPK's while cycle monitoring with my fertility specialist and he basically recommended to definitely try on the day you get a positive (my opk positives were always confirmed with bloodwork positives) and the 2 days after you get a positive. Your LH surge (what the opk is picking up) happens 12-36 hours before ovulation. Good luck!!!

Welcome Alibaba and good luck!

twwtoolong - Yay pains! Are you just going to wait it out, or do you think you might try a test or two?

I've officially and FINALLY started the injections! I psyched myself up a lot, had the needle in hand, the skin all pinched, and I just kept hopping up and down trying to get mentally ready. I put it directly onto it and was gonna do a slow ease in and then felt it didn't feel as sharp as I thought, so I just bit the bullet and stabbed it really quick. Didn't feel a thing! So I did the injection and then it was done! I think I can handle this...until I get to the bigger needles.

Way to go Babybump!!! It must be such an odd sensation to inject yourself!! So exciting to have the process started!

Alibaba - The bliss of being newlyweds! We are fortunate enough that frequency is usually not a problem for us either (we were at my in-laws for the holidays, so we had to get creative with finding a time and place to BD this cycle), but the fertility doc did say that there is such a thing as too often - as there isn't enough time to replinish the goods. He recommended every other day up to the positive opk and then once on the day of the positive and once each of the 2 days after. After that -whatever you like is fair game! lol

Good evening ladies,
How is everyone?
Twwtoolong have you tested yet or are you waiting?
Babybump congrats on starting the process :-)
Alibaba- welcome and good luck :-)

As for me, I had my US and bloodwork this morning and everything looks good so far. I have 9 follies on the right sizes 6-10 and 4 left 7-13 and estrogen is 632. I will go back Tuesday for US and BW. My last cycle was similar with the follies but my estrogen is a lot higher this time, so I hope it's a good sign.

Hello!

All going well... 6 days left till I can buy a pregnancy test.... zzzz... and if one more person asks me if I'm pregnant. Argh so intrusive!

Luckykap I feel like there is still so much info I don't know about IVF yet, I know there's something called beta - is that those numbers? And the follicles are best at certain sizes, but I'm not sure what those sizes are.

Those sound like good numbers though! Hopefully I understand it a bit more soon!

Alibaba the waiting to test is the hardest part! I'm a teacher so every new batch I get the "do you have kids?" "do you want kids?" "when are you gonna have them" and I'm like damn kids, mind your own business! So just tell people to shove it and leave you alone about it :) lol

Babybump the beta is the pregnancy test you'll take sometime after the transfer. They will test your estrogen each time you go along with a couple other things and determine whether or not they will raise or lower your doseages. You want your follicles to stay pretty close in size so that they will be ready to go around the same time. Mine are staying pretty close, I do have a 13 that I want to slow down but the rest are pretty close in size. They grow 1-3mm a day so Tuesday will have a better idea where they are, and more can even show up.

Hi ladies...so exciting that y'all have started injections, etc.!! The transfer will be here in no time!! We just moved into our new house on Saturday (which also happened to be our first snow of the season-HAHA what a mess!!)

Today I hit CD 52 (Yay PCOS! haha) So at the encouragement of babybump and just on a whim, I took a cheapie....AND GOT A BFP!!! I'll try to post the images on my page, but it came up in less than 5 minutes. After I summoned up enough pee, I took a drugstore POAS and within 30 SECONDS it was positive!

I'm in complete shock. I was waiting for AF to show so I could start the Letrozole. I was even going to call my fertility clinic this week to get on Provera again to force AF so I could finally start Letrozole....

I called the doctor and went for my first blood draw (beta) and will go again Wednesday. I can call tomorrow afternoon to confirm I'm pregnant and find out how far along I am since I have NO clue!!!

This is our year, ladies!!!!!
