Using whole blood instead of urine?

Has anyone ever used whole blood (finger prick) on a pregnancy test instead of urine? I’ve been doing some research and it is turning up some interesting results. I tried myself and had very light lines on a Pregmate test and complete negative when I used FMU. I was 9 dpo at the time. I am 11 now and will try again later. Still getting neg urine. I haven’t tried a FRER this cycle.
What do you think? There are videos on YouTube and a couple of medical papers on the subject.
