Make a HPT more sensitive??

So I'm one of those people who can (most of the time) feel that I'm pregnant before it can be detected by a home pregnancy test. Once I would get a positive I wanted to confirm it by a blood test only it sometimes took a week to get an appointment. I wanted to experiment with a HPT to see if I could get a result sooner by using blood. I have NEVER been able to get a positive HPT sooner than 13-14 dpo. On 10 dpo I used FMU and took a HPT (sensitivity of 25) and a FRER. I could see a super faint line with the FRER but the 25 was negative. I filled 2 dropperfuls of the same urine sample into a cup and added about 3-4 drops of blood using a glucose meter lancet and mixed it well for a couple of seconds. I added the usual 3 drops to a new HPT (sensitivity of 25) and it was positive. I followed up later in the day with a FRER HPT (sensitivity is something like 5) and it was a light positive. I probably could have gotten a positive sooner than 10 dpo had I used blood sooner!
