TTC after IUD

Background info- I have a 7 year old, and a 1 year old. Extremely random cycles (for example-ovulated on CD 52 before conception)
I have had a Mirena IUD for almost a year now. No period after insertion .

How long did it take for your cycles to return? How long did it take to get pregnant?

We are hoping for around a 3 year age gap. But I almost feel like I need to remove my IUD right after the summer ends, in order to get my body back to "normal"
