Position of cervix

When checking the cervix, how is that actually done? I know it can be high or low, open or closed, and soft or firm. My problem is that I can’t reach it to check it! I’m on the tall/thin side, however, I’ve fingers on the short side and I cannot reach my cervix. Any tips? I’ve searched and searched for info online to no avail.

I had the same problem. I have to push- almost like taking a poop- to push my cervix down to be able to reach it.
