Bfp, to bfn then bleeding?

I got a faint bfp yesterday, today it was fainter almost negative. Then later in the day i started bleeding. What could have happened? Anybody know please?

Unfortunately, that sounds like a chemical pregnancy. The baby implanted enough to turn the test positive but didn't stick. I've had that happen. If I had never tested, i wouldve just thought i had a late and heavy period rather than a miscarriage.

Thank you both. I have a feeling its when I'm carrying boys as it keeps happening every so often. I have 3 daughters already.
