Happy New Year,
Thank you for this outlet that allowed me to share my journey. I am planning on physically writing again. And finally get back into my artistic side like I have been wanting for 3y now. Writing a book, going back to singing, dancing, painting, playing piano and guitar, sewing, .....I want to talk less , less argue especially with DH. Stress is the #1 killer. Going back to church too. I sign up with gym yesterday. I will be going early in the mornings before work and my accountable gym buddy is my mum. I am very blessed and grateful. For you all too who follow my journey and check on me.
The specialist said that I need to lose weight. My DH needs to stop drinking as much , only a bit in the weekends. I just did my blood work, and transvaginal ultrasound yesterday while on my period yesterday. 18eggs on left ovary and 12 on right ovary. So far my numbers are still high which is a good thing. I will have HSG on Friday (x Ray of tubes and ovaries): check whether or not tubes are blocked. I heard that it can be painful. Husband will also blood work and semen analysis this Friday. Our follow up is 1st week of February. Dr. also advised me not to bother with temps. Just buy opks. So that is what I will do this cycle. DH and I have some serious work to do on our mariage before another baby. The 1st steps , get healthy, exercise more , get back to our spiritual ity to reduce the amount of stress that we have build up for the past couple of years and maybe see a counselor to help us dialogue better. Happy new year everyone.
UPDATE Hello,
Just had HSG done today. Had ibuprofen before procedure so it was almost a breeze. I am having cramps and discomfort now especially on right side. Physician assistant told me that both tubes seem open. Will have to confirm with Dr. I also finished with AF yesterday and DH did blood work and semen analysis today. We will resume bd on Sunday. Follow up apt is 1st week of February. Fingers crossed.

Happy new year lalou! I hope you get your BFP in 2020! I wanted to chime in about your folicle count. I had a similar result on CD3 (18 on left and 20 on right) and also a high AMH for my age (my AMH was 3.5 and i'm 41). Because of this my RE diagnosed me with PCOS. They put me on metformin and i got my BFP 6 weeks later. I think this might be an option you should discuss with your doctor if you AMH is higher than it should be for your age. Metformin also helps you lose a little weight if you need to and you should be following a low carb diet. And i found OPKs to be inaccurate with PCOS -- just my experience.
I also wanted to say that the HSG wasn't that bad. I have heard if your tubes are blocked it can hurt more, but mine were clear so it was not bad. I felt strong cramping which was about the same as IUD insertion if you have ever had one of those. Good luck and keep us posted!

Hi Lissa,
Thank you so much for your reply. Yes I spoke with Doc about Metformin, she told me that she will see after my blood work but since I have used it before, we might do it again. Also yes I agree I have difficult time with opks too but I am still going try now that I have some experience and more in tune with my body. I will keep you update and congrats on your bfp. Hopefully I can get pregnant soon and still have a 2020 baby????.
