period day late negative test?

im a day late which i dont think has happened in my 13 years of of having a cycle and i was supposed to start yesterday but didnt and i took a test this afternoon and it came back negative, anyone else have this happen and still turn out to be pregnant? im super hopeful and the last few days my body has been a bit weird.
twinges of pain in my nipple, almost bubbly feelings in my abdomen, super screwy sleep schedule.
