Best way to get doctors to help with ttc?

Hi Ladies,
I have been trying again for a few months. SO and i took a bit of a step back for a few years where we werent preventing but werent charting and logging when we were having sex (still plently active enough to fall pregnant according to everything i have read. I had gone through all the blood tests, scans and hcgs through the hospital. I found the overall help was really disappointing. But anyway....since we are back on the train for actively trying again. I was just wondering what the best way would be to getting docotrs help and any pointers on things that i should be trying to get in sooner for and things to avoid? Its been quite a while since i had seriously invested a heap of time into ttc. I just dont want to waste my time like i did last time (underwent over 1.5years of "help" by the hospital) and walked out with next to no answers.....any experiences and/or things that have helped anyone would be amazing and thank you in advance!!
