How to date pregnancy?

I’ve had “evaps” for 16 days. Finally got a blazing positive instantly yesterday. Called my OB and they won’t see me until mid July to date this pregnancy. I don’t have a lmp as I had just weaned my 12mo and “caught the first egg.” So I told my OB that I got a positive test yesterday....but wondering if I should’ve said two weeks ago. Or does it not even matter??

I only tested again because my nausea got super intense and my “pms” bloat looked way too bump like. Oh and I had a canker sore out of nowhere.
