Is it possible????
So I had the mirena didn’t have cycles had it removed immediately fell pregnant. Went for ultrasound stated I was 7 weeks 1 day could not listen to heartbeat but tech says she saw it. Fast forward to almost 3 weeks later go to ER for cramping they state no heartbeat and the baby measures 7 weeks 4 days. I’ve had no cramping no bleeding still have all my pregnancy symptoms. My hcg at the er was 21,000. I still look pregnant and my test are super strong could the baby still be ok?

I hate to say it but I don’t think so. It’s called a missed miscarriage. Your body’s hasn’t processed that the baby has passed. It may take some time before it does. Your doctor should discuss all of this with you and give your options. I just went thru this in December and didn’t fully complete everything until the beginning of February. So sorry. I hope that’s not the case for you but usually when a baby hasn’t developed any further since a certain date it’s unlikely it will survive

I'm so sorry wantsababy80...the answer to your question unfortunately is yes, your body will keep trying to maintain the pregnancy by producing HCG and progesterone (which give you pregnancy symptoms) if it doesn't recognize that the baby has passed. When this happened to me, my doctor monitored my HCG levels over a few days to see which direction they were going in (i was already bleeding tho and HCG was dropping ). If you're uncertain, you should go back for another scan in a week to see if anything with the fetus has changed in the positive direction before you decide what to do next.
