Hey girls! @Dragonfly thanks so much for posting this. I just ordered the same progesterone cream from Amazon and it will be here tomorrow or saturday. I'm 5 DPO today so i'm hoping its not too late to start. I haven't been tested for progesterone either but this month i really feel like its low because my post-O temps (although above coverline) are not as high as they usually are. I had a M/C last month at 7 weeks and i really regret not having progesterone checked. My doctor said the testing is not necessary until you have had 3 losses. I think that is such a cruel rule. I have had two now (one CP and one blighted ovum) so i'm hoping when i get my next BFP she will agree to do the progesterone check. In the meantime i'm taking vitex which is supposed to increase progesterone and will be starting the cream. You think the cream is safe to use through 12 weeks? That is what i have read. Praying so hard for BFP this month so i can try that out!!!

@Mariam -- BBT is such a useful tool. It's really not that hard and you can use a normal thermometer. Just get up at the same time every morning and take your temp before you get out of bed. You can record the temp here on this site under "my cycles" or in another app most of us use called Fertility Friend. After a few cycles you will start to see your patterns. I'll list here everything I've been doing maybe something will help you too. I have been successful in getting pregnant twice with this plan (but haven't been able to make a sticky baby yet!). Supplements: Pre-natal vitamin, Co-enzyme Q10 (Ubiquinol 100 mg), Fish oil, 1000 mg vitamin C, calcium, zinc, magnesium, vitamin B6 (also supposed to help with progesterone), vitamin B12, vitex (helps with progesterone and helps regulate your cycle), myo-inositol powder and d-chrio-inositol, DHEA (low dose; 25 mg/day), and low dose (81 mg) aspirin only after confirmed O. My DH takes an antioxidant supplement called Conception XR. All of these have been recommended by or confirmed by my doctor and fertility specialist as safe. We also use pre-seed lubricant. I also use the clearblue digital OPK because the line tests confuse me but the digital is more expensive especially because i have to test at least twice a day to detect my LH surge. My LH surge happens fast and i usually O within 12 hours of detecting the surge. DH was tested for sperm analysis with normal results. I have had some hormonal blood testing (FSH:LH, AMH, thyroid) and all came back normal. Like i said, this month i'm adding the same progesterone cream that Dragonfly recommended above. A note about vitex: if you have normal cycles it is not recommended for you as it can sometimes mess up normal cycles. Mine are slightly variable so i think its OK for me but time will tell. Also DHEA is a hormone so be careful supplementing with that if you haven't had your hormones tested as there are some side effects at higher doses. Do your research.

I live in the U.S. in Georgia just north of Atlanta. We are going to try for a few more months on our own to get a sticky baby before going back to the fertility specialist to discuss IVF.

Hi Mariam -- yes i agree don't mess with Vitex if your cycle is normal. I started the progesterone cream last night (the one Dragonfly suggested) and my temp went up 0.3 degrees this morning up to my normal post-O temp so i'm very happy with it. I definitely would suggest you give it a try because from what i've read it can't hurt. But it will be really important for you to start temping before you use it because you need to use it only after O has happened or you might delay ovulation! When you see your temp spike and fertility friend draws your cross hairs for you (which will be at 3 DPO) you can go ahead and start the cream. Since your cycle seems normal i would stick with pre-natal, coenzyme q10, fish oil, vitamin b6, calcium, zinc, and vitamin C. Also you should be doing low dose aspirin and the progesterone cream after confirmed O. Of course i'm not a doctor, those are just my suggestions for you based on what you've said about your cycle. I wouldn't add DHEA or vitex because it might mess up your cycle. If you decide to try one of those pre-blended conception supplements designed for TTC make sure you read the ingredients as most contain vitex. I know some people also take Maca but i don't know anything about that. Good luck!

Hi lisa how are going with the progesterone cream? Any side affects?

Hi Mariam! I've been using the cream twice a day since i received it last week (so about 5 days). I have not noticed any side effects and the cream is easy to use and dries quickly. I rotate application site like the instructions say to avoid skin irritation. I did notice the day after i started using it my temp went up to normal post-O temps. They have stayed high where they should be for this point in my cycle. I'm 9 DPO today and still about a week away from AF (my LP is 16 days). But of course this cycle is the first post M/C so things are still a little wonky. I don't have any pregnancy symptoms and took at test this morning that was BFN. I'm pretty sure i am out this month and will have to try again next month which is probably better for my body anyway so i have some more time to heal after the M/C. Have you started BBT and charting with FF?

Hey Mariam how are you doing? I'm on CD 10 of next cycle. Still doing some fertility testing and hoping to have a treatment plan to start next month if we don't get BFP this cycle.
