October 2019 Babes TTC

Hey lovely ladies! I am back and gonna start trying this cycle for our last babe. I am looking for other ladies to share my journey with in TTC this month for late September/early October babes.

My little guy is only 13 months old and I breast feed him till I went back to work last year, since then my cycles have been so wonky, so I am not certain when my ovulation will be, but I started ovulation testing yesterday and got a low fertility result and tested again today and got a high fertility result both in the morning and night.

Crossing my fingers for all the ladies trying to conceive this cycle

@bug you are doing great. This journey is hard, and our grieving is real even though it is so often silent. The aching loss of dreams we carry, and the powerful hope that resurges with each cycle are part of our story. They are also part of the story of the babies we will eventually hold. You may not feel like it, but you are mighty! You show it every month when you keep on trying!

@AMF those two lines are so pretty!

As for me--I'm getting ready for an HSG this afternoon. I'm looking forward to hopefully having some answers, but I'm afraid they'll find a hydrosalinx and I'll have to lose a Fallopian tube... The best outcome ever would be if the HSG itself opens something up and I get my BPF this cycle. We will see...

@adoette- good luck today during your HSG i have heard so many BFP stories after an HSG. Let us know how it goes

I just scheduled my 1st ob appointment with this pregnancy for Feb 11th. I doubt they will do an ultrasound though since I’ll only be 6weeks 2 days which would be too early. I just want to see a heartbeat! Ughh it’s like the two week wait all over again.

@Brittany there is no tired like early pregnancy tired. Get some rest girl!!
@adoette That was absolutely lovely. Very very encouraging words. I had an HSG done November 8th. Not the most comfortable thing in the world. Hope I never have to again. Definitely have been through worse, though. Good luck to you!!

@momma--thanks!

The HSG went better than I hoped. No polyps or adhesions or visible endometriosis on the ovaries, and both tubes let the contrast flow. There might be some endo on the outside of the bowels, but I don't want another laparoscopy and six months of lupron to try to improve it. Been there, done that, didn't get pregnant. Endo came back. I feel like I'm too old for that, now. The doc said to let him know if I don't get pregnant in the next cycle or two and we'll talk again about what's next. So, of course, I think: I'm going to get pregnant soon!

Hello all!
I've used this site for years for the tools and calculators and never realized there was a community as well!

My story does have a trigger, so please beware if you read on.

My husband and I have been married for 15 years. We started ttc as soon as we were married, but it just wasn't happening for us. After a year of trying we sought help. At first I was told that I had hypothyroidism and I was started on meds. My thyroid levels became normal, but I still wasn't ovulating on my own. I was put on clomid for 5 cycles. My 6th cycle I my doctor was away, so no clomid check and no clomid. We were referred to a reproductive endocrinologist and had an appointment scheduled for the following month.

Amazingly, we found out we were pregnant at that appointment! Sadly, we lost our baby just 4 weeks later. Over the next year we would have four more first trimester losses. During my final loss it was discovered that I had Type 1 diabetes which was causing our losses. We took a year off from ttc and got me healthy. When we began ttc again, we quickly became pregnant with a healthy baby boy.

Over the next five years we would bring home three more babies without suffering any more losses or complications. At that point my husband was done. We had four beautiful, healthy children. He decided to have a vasectomy when our youngest was three months old. Before six months had passed I knew I wanted him to have a reversal. He said no. For two years I left it alone and prayed instead. When our youngest was just over two years old my husband came to me and told me he changed his mind. He wanted a reversal.

Two years would pass before we could afford to have the reversal done, but in April 2017 my husband finally had a reversal. Initially we were told that it had failed. Instead of giving up hope, we took it to God. In September 2017 we found out it hadn't failed after all! We conceived that very cycle. Our newest blessing was due July 2018.

My pregnancy went as smooth as it could. In fact, it was my easiest and most enjoyable pregnancy yet! I didn't have any anxiety or fear as I had with my other pregnancies. Our entire family delighted in this new person growing inside me. As the months went by, we prepared for the arrival of our second daughter, Eleanor Finley Grace.

~TRIGGER ~
Sadly, Eleanor would never come home with us in the way we imagined. On July 28th, 2018 Eleanor was delivered via emergency Csection two hours and twenty-two minutes after arriving at L&D. She would never take a breath on this earth. We don't have any answers as to why she went from healthy and active to gone within an hour of us arriving at L&D, but cord compression is suspected.

It's been almost six months since we lost Eleanor and we are finally in a place where we can think about growing our family again without it overshadowing our daughter. This was our first cycle actively ttc and we are now 4 dpo. If we conceived this cycle my EDD will be October 15th, 2019 though we would be delivering no later than 38 weeks to avoid my water breaking and the risk of another cord compression.

I am so sorry for the loss of your daughter, but there is always a plan in place.
I am 5 DPO so we can be testing buddies! I hope we both get a very soon!
