How long til test turned negative after D&C?

I had a D&C on 6-2-18 After finding that my baby had passed around 9 weeks. How long did it take for your test to turn negative after procedure? My nurse said that everything was removed so my levels should be negative within a few days to a week and maybe two weeks at the most. Hubby and I have started havin sex again after gettin the okay from doc so kinda wondering if it's still positive because I'm pregnant again. Oh and hcg was 16 on 6-14-18 so it went down quick since procedure. It was 4999 day before procedure. Any input is welcomed.
