Temporary menopause or hysterectomy.. Choose!!

I'm fucken 19 been ttc for 2 years and went to my gyno today and I have endometriosis which is a conditon in which tissue that lines the uterus is found outside the uterus. And she asked me hysterectomy or temporary menopause? The menopause would be brought on by the shot GnRH. I just want to ball my eyes out. I always wanted children. Always. This is messed up. I guess I will be having menopause with my mom! Haha fuck you world. Fuck this. Fuck my life. & I guess this fucks my future. If your reading this and your facing the same condition please message me I really need a shoulder to lean on right now. God bless

I am sorry for the news but YOU GO FOR ANOTHER OPINION!!!! Is this endometriosis so bad that they have no choice. A doctor told my cousin the same thing and she went for another opinion......she still has all the things she went into the surgery with. They just removed it. Is this the best doc in your area? Is this a Reproductive Endocrinologist? It needs to be a specialist!!! You are way too young to accept that.....again, I know that hurt getting that news but all hope is not lost.

Hey I totally agree with something like this you need a second opinion for sure!!!! I know it sucks I have problems too so I feel you but I know many ladies with endo who end up with many children!! My sister in law went in for out patient surgery to remove the endo and now she's got two wonderfull children :) There are things that can be done....First they need to see what stage you're in. They can go in laproscopically and remove the tissue giving you time to conceive before it builds up! It may be a long road BUT there is hope your life is no over you have plenty of time plenty of options to conceive. Why would they give you such a drastic choice?? See a special sweetie :) Wishing you luck and strength and positive vibes :)

Sorry this is happening to you!! Def get another opinion! I know a few friends who had this, had surgery and now they have kids. All they did was remove the endo. Good luck!

I agree, get a second opinion! I'm no dr, but I don't think that sounds right.

My cousin was diagnosed with endometriosis and was told she was never having kids! Well she has a two year old and is 3 months pregnant right now, so i think that it can happen. Find out more do research dont give up and go with just one opinion.

Hi
This seems to drastic. I had my endo removed during laparoscopy and we are trying for a baby. Once you're pregnant it will supress the endo for a few years. You should look at your diet, don't stress your liver to much.
Definitely get a second or even may be even a third opinion. Good luck!
