Wow, I still can't believe it. It feels so unreal, and I have no symptoms still (other than very minor stretching twinges in my lower abdomen).

I saw my GP yesterday and she has referred me to a midwife. I will need to call them today and make an appointment. Our first scan will be done at 10-12 weeks.

The doctor also put me on folic acid and iodine tablets. In NZ our iodine levels in the soil are so low they made it law years ago that salt must be iodised (with the exception of sea salt) and all bread must be made with iodised salt.

Also in NZ, an iodine only supplement has been made available for all pregnant and breastfeeding women at 150micrograms a day.

Edit: Okay, maybe I do have one other symptom... My breasts are huge! I have gone from a comfortable B cup to a large C cup almost overnight! Bra shopping here we come :)
