Last Round of Clomid. HCG Shot. Cycle Buddies??

I am on my last round of Clomid, and things are... interesting...

I went to my dr today for an ultrasound to see how far my follicles have dilated (my dr is looking for 1.8cm). Curiously enough, he found two eggs cysts (right at 1.5 and left at 1.2). My DB and I decided to go through with the HCG injection since we have been trying (since last year), but to no avail. So, my dr. wants me to come back for another ultrasound Wednesday morning and if one of follicles is 1.8cm dilated he will administer the HCG shot... However, if the they are both at that size, as he puts it, my chance to have twins "is not insignificant." I'm kind of excited about the idea actually :)

SO - I guess if I get the shot on Wednesday, I will ovulate on Thursday 5/23. Any I am certainly welcoming any cycle buddies :)

Also, if you have any questions about Clomid, and have any information about the HCG shot, I'd love to chat!

Best wished to everyone!

WHOOOOHOOOOO MISSY!!!!!!!! That is GREAT news! How fun! There is nothing more distracting and all consuming than planning a wedding. I know there isn't a ring yet, but congrats! That's so special to know this process has only made your relationship stronger!

As for the beach, I've been much luckier than you I guess. We've only had two days of rain in the last 38 days. It's a drought actually, but great beach weather.

I'm getting anxious to go back to work, though, too, and even at the beach, I have a hard time relaxing. It's right around the corner, and that means so is taking the next step with fertility treatments. :/ I'm grateful for them, but I'm really nervous and upset about the injections and weight gain, and the knowledge that all that is only going to be a 15% chance of it working.

I'm 10 DPO, temp dropped a little this am. Boobs are ultra-sore, which has been a sign of AF for me in the past. My thought was monday, but at this rate it might be sooner.

Dree, were you prescribed clomid? Any other news?

Lisette, positive thoughts to you!

Mis, fill us in on all the details! I want to live vicariously! It's going to be a great distraction!

So jealous of your beach time!! Hopefully, I'll get some going today )

I'm so happy your excited for me - at least with the wedding plans. This is the link to my Pinterest board I've been working on for it - http://pinterest.com/myssilynn/cinco-de-mayo-wedding/ ... You have excellent style, girlie - and I'd be more than happy to add you as a contributing pinner :) I meet with the planner in 2 wks... and if you see the board - we are going to have A LOT to go over!! :)

All that fun aside, I am so ready to get AF going and over with! As soon as I start, I guess I'll call my dr and let him know that we failed to conceive - AGAIN. I know this was my 6th round of clomid, so I don't think he can prescribe again - but maybe he will take pity on me since I won't be able to go to a specialist, at least, for another month - or more - depending on insurance.

Have a great day, Court! Maybe your PMS symptoms are happier symptoms -- never out until AF starts!!! (Gosh, that is easy to write, but not easy to think, right??)

Wow, SO FUN! I loved your pin board and would love to help! Just a thought...maybe you need a whole bunch of boards for the wedding to make it easier on you when you're making final decisions? I don't know, but maybe if you had a food board, flowers board, dress board, favors board, etc you might not get so dizzy looking at all your choices?

I LOVE your tequila popsicles, bright colors, and festive favors. This is going to be so fun!

I'm with you on AF, I want it to come so I can get it over with. Let us know what the doctor says, I know mine said the limit for clomid was 6 months, but that was because of studies which showed being on clomid for long periods of time (a year or more) increased your risk for cervical cancer. But that was after a whole year...
Maybe another month won't matter.

Hoping the rain clears!

AF arrived today. No big surprise, but still just such a downer.

The charting was great b/c I knew that AF was on its way with the crazy temp nose dive I had the other day, but on the other hand -- I look at the chart and our timing was PERFECT, it couldn't be any better. UGH!!!!

My bf just thinks this is b/c I am so crazy stressed. I mean, I am, but still. :'( AND, just today, I had two people telling me about issues friends were having with their babies - women who were in there mid-to-late-30s/early-40s -- which has freaked the bejesus out of me.

OH - and my drs office was closed today. WTF? Really???

:''''( I hate today. I hate CD1. I hate THIS!

Oh mis, I'm so sorry. There's nothing worse. But don't worry about having timed it perfectly, you can do that again. You have the tools you need to do so. And try not to let other people's troubles worry you as your own. I know, easier said than done, but you're only 37 and have 3-5 years, YEARS, not months, left to make this happen.

Perhaps having your D's office closed is a blessing in disguise, because when they open on Monday and you do get to talk to them, you'll have a little bit of a clearer mind.

I'm the kid who always calls and as soon as I hear my NP's voice, I start balling my eyes out and can't get a word out clearly.

I hate today for you, too, and CD 1, and THIS with a passion. It all blows. No one should have to go through this.

Sending giant hugs and chocolate and ice cream and money and stolen babies to you in my thoughts!

Well, Mis, we're cycle buddies this month. : _ _ (

So much for stupid temping. I woke up this morning, took my temp at the same time (on the same side) and it was still way high.

Went to the bathroom and what do you know, AF was there. Is this a joke?

I hate this, hate this, hate this. I don't know how to keep riding this roller coaster of maybe next time, try, what if, crash...

Wow, Court... I am SO SO SO sorry.

Are you positive it is AF??? Could it just be light spotting or something since your temp hasn't dipped yet??? So weird. I'd be a basketcase - so please take some time for yourself today, don't worry about the dh for a while, and just do what you need to do to get through the day - be it a glass of wine, some time in bed, or just having a good cry.

We're in this together... and next cycle is a May baby -- think of how great that would be with your schedule!!! SO, let's pretend that getting pregnant next month would just be better anyway... that's what I am over here telling myself...

Let's see...one cheese steak sub, one onion rings, one rootbeer, one black raspberry ice cream with sprinkles, one new comfy over-sized sweatshirt, and two glasses of wine (so far).

Man, this sucks! I like your thinking, mis, though, a May baby would be perfect. Anything after that and I risk losing the clients I worked so hard to build in order to give this to my future babies. I just have to take a deep breath, push the anxiety attacks away, and remember that this all means nothing without the babies to share it with.

It's just so annoying to see what feels like EVERYONE else just have a baby when they feel like it.

Grrrrr.

You would all LOL at me this morning. I never eat donuts (or cheese steaks, or onion rings for that matter) but I went in search of a donut this morning and after three failed attempts (closed, line out the door in the rain, and cash only) I cried. Ha. I didn't even want the donut that bad. I just wanted something to go right.

But it was after that that we got the idea to head into town and gorge ourselves (well mostly me) on comfort food and a shopping spree.

I cannot believe it's been 15 months of TTC.

Hoping you're all well...

Hello ladies

Sorry I've been MIA for over a week . Just finished working 9 days straight and came back from Vegas yesterday. I was happy I had one good day while I was away. I still feel pretty sick most of the time but it's definitely getting better!

Sorry court and missy about af. But May babies sound great. Missy don't worry about timing it right ... I think we timed it right for about the last 6 months but still nothing. As long as you know when you are still increasing your chances and that is what is important. As I look back at all my charts there is definitely a pattern. Ignore all the ups and downs and try to look at them overall.

I have my next doctors appt on Thursday so I'm looking forward to hearing a heart beat this week! Almost out of the first big hurdle. I can't wait until my second trimester begins.

Hope you ladies are keeping positive. Always sending good vibes your way!

Hey Lisette!

So glad to see you back! I've been wondering how you've been doing!

I'm so glad you talked me into temping :) I am a facts and figures person, so it has been really interesting to watch my chart to see what's happening. My bf has been very curious about it as well - which is pretty cool.

There's nothing wrong with a May baby!! :D We are going to start working on that tomorrow :) No smiley face yet, but staying positive.

I've told Courtney, but my new job pays 50% of services up to $2,000 per calendar year - Very good considering it was nothing before, right?

How did the appt go today?? I'm sure it went great! Have you started telling family yet?

I'll be thinking of you and your little one - and trying to replicate your success! :) Don't work too hard!

xoxo
