I like to wait until 11-12wks before putting it on social media because I've had a miscarriage and was thankful no one really knew. I'm tempted with this pregnancy to announce a bit earlier because it's twins and I'm already showing but I also have complications already so I'm hesitant. It's a personal choice but typically people wait until 12wks for social media but sooner with immediate family members.

A Valentine's day announcement sounds so lovely.
Personally I don't tell family until after an early dating scan (7-9 weeks). And don't tell friends/public announcement until after getting the 12 weeks scan/bloods results. Having had losses in the past, I prefer to deal with it alone, constant sympathy and being asked how I am only makes it harder for me.
But what you do is up to you!
