Hey everyone! Sorry to be scarce but I've been out of my mind busy and consumed with the fifty shades of grey series. OmG!! If you haven't read it, I SERIOUSLY suggest it! And start it when you have a few down days ahead of you! I started the first book Sunday night/Monday and just finished the second today! I downloaded the third to my iPad but I am hesitant to start reading because I dont want to be done with them!

Anyways, I am cd 9 today I believe. And I swear I am ovulating! I had serious pains in my left ovarian region on Thursday and then some strange pain on the upper area of my pelvis on the right side Friday. Then slight pains in my left ovary region today again. Plus we bd'd today and DH said he thought I had EWCM. I don't know what to think and really really wish it was true! But I don't normally ovulate on my own until at least CD 18-20. The last two cycles were IUI cycles and both times I ovulated from my right ovary. This month I am just taking metformin, vitamin and baby aspirin. Well see how my cycle goes from here on out. But we don't normally start regularly doing the dance this early in my cycle. Maybe that's been our hitch? I reacquainted myself to Bacardi too lol. Maybe that's helped a little? LOL I know when TTC you should stay away from alcohol but I need a month to forget about it all and relax for a month!

Well GL to all you ladies! Sorry I can't respond individually, it's so hard to do on my phone!

Me: Alicia (29) ~ DH: Patrick (29) TTC #1 Since August 2009 with PCOS 1st & 2nd (March & May 2012) IUI Cycles w/ Clomid = BFN's 6/24/12 - 3rd IUI cycle w/ Gonal-F and Lupron. IUI on 7/9. TWINS! Born 2/11/13 Back on the NTNP train as of September 2013 hoping for a boy someday!

so happy to hear about cj yay baby girl...

I got a serious question for you all: so as you all know i have endometriosis, anyways my periods have always been only 3-4 days long in total with only bleeding the first day and light spotting for the other 3-4 days, so same this month af showed up may 26th with that being the one day of bleeding, then brown spotting for 3 days after, so i bought some opks the other day (thusrday)and took one and there was a pink line though it was not as dark as the reference line, took one yesterday and same thing, took one this morning and it was lighter, then just took one and its almost non existent. is it possible with my flow being so light and short to ovulate on cd 4 instead of cd 12 for me. im super confused now as the achy back and pelvis are now gone as well. help me out girls please...

aroma, as you know i also have endo but its not as severe as yours. my fertility specialist doesnt think its significant anymore and that i wont need more surgery which is great but i am still a bit worried as my periods are getting more painful again.

my periods are usually about 5 days long and recently mainly brown and light with only about 1 or 2 days of red flow. i discussed this with the specialist and she says to count anything even spotting as CD1 which i had been and its been consistent with me ovulating on cd12/13.

i was interested on what the opks would say all month along so a few cycles back i used at least 1 every day and i thought i was getting an early surge as they started to get darker but not dark enough so i wondered if maybe i missed the peak as it can coem and go within a few hours and if you are only taking them once a day its easy to miss, but i kept on using them and BAM the darkest opks i have ever had! they were practically black! it was also incidently my first cycle using evening primrose oil and i felt ovualtion for the first time too! (used it again this last cycle and felt it again!)

so as far as i can tell, LH is a hormone that can be present throughout your cycle but only peaking at certain times which is ovulation. its possible that you could have a hornomal imbalance which could be contributing to your endo so just ask your specialist about it. there are simple blood tests done throughout your cycle that can determine that. I've not been using OPKs this cycle as I am doing a tracking cycle with the clinic where they use blood analysis to determine the best time for dh and i to get busy and its much more accurate them temps and opks. i loved it!! apart from the constant blood tests i found it took so much stress away from me, i didnt have to worry about taking my temp each morning, or peeing i8nto a cup and analysising the results! just a simple phone call in the afternoon to say no you need another test your levels arent quite there, or yes the levels are good, have sex tonight!!

so, if i were yoiu, i would keep using the opks until after you "normal" date for ovulation and you might see a surge then. but speak to your specialist cos dont u have an appointment soon? mayb ask about a tracked cycle? if this cycle doesnt work i will be doing it next cycle but that because DH is away so i will need IUI this cycle, which will be interesting!!

Hi ladies, My name is Shannon 33 and DH is 40. This is our story... I am what they call a brittle diabetic, which means my diabetes is very bad and hard to control. We got pg in 2003 and lost our first son at 38 wks in 2004 and got pg again in 2009 and lost that son at 35 wks to Microcephaly , both losses were due to compications to the diabetes. I have been watching this thread since September of 2011 by recommendation of a friend.. Through you ladies and your stories I found the courage to TTC one more time and in December I went on birth control and went to Dr appt. after Dr. appt. to have all pre-conception testing done and thanks be to GOD and you ladies for your courage this is my frst month of Birth control and actively trying.

With all that said, This is also my first month charting BBTs and I am confused. My Dr. told me how to do it and what to look for and I did, but I am a bit confused. I am around 6-7DPO according to chart and my BBT has been going up significantly for the past 2 days. Is there any way that you ladies could take a look at it and tell me what you think. I was told when it raises like that there is a chance that it's a sign of pregnancy.

Thanks
Shannon

Shannon u need to put your chart on your homepage so we can see. But increasing temps after ovulation is a sign of increased progesterone which happens for most women on a normal cycle so keep an eye in it and if it's still high after about 14 dpo that is a good sign!

What makes u think u ovulated on that day cos I would have said cd 22 looks better as your temp needs to increase after o and yours didn't
