Question

Contraceptive pills and pregnancy?!?!?

I have taken a morning after pill after having unprotected sex but am concerned about how effective it will be as my first pregnancy happened while I was on the normal pill. Given that they are the same drug, I'm not sure if its going to work for me. Anyone had the morning after pill fail?

Any advice appreciated. Thanks

While it is used in birth control, in combination with other hormones, it's at a VERY low dose compared to what's in the morning after pill. When used in the first 24 hours after having unprotected sex it is very effective

Yes, my current pregnancy is a result of a morning after pill fail. Intercourse took place within my most fertile period... I took the morning after pill diligently within the timeframe and a week and a half later I just knew I had fallen pregnant. I went to the doctor at what probably was 10 - 12 dpo and had a positive blood test :/
Very bewildered!!
