Question

BFP at 13dpo followed by sharp stabbing pains in the left side of the lower abdomen. Is this normal.

Hi, I went through IUI on 2nd of Oct and got a faint BFP on 11dpo. The line has been getting darker by the day and today Is my 14dpo.

I have been getting sharp stabbing pains on the left side of my lower abdomen which lasted for few seconds last night. It was not continuous but like something poking again and again.
The same happened today morning also.
This will be my first pregnancy.
Just wanted to know if these pains are normal or should I be worried.
AF is due on 17th and my doc asked me to wait for few more days till I get past AF date to scan.
But these pains really worry me.
Please help.

See a doctor ASAP. These could be totally normal, but it could also be signs of an ectopic pregnancy.

I had very similar pain both from gas and from my large Corpus Luteum cyst. I would feel a stabbing in my left side very badly, enough that I was convinced I was having an ectopic pregnancy. After I would pass gas, it would lessen- just another glamorous pregnancy symptom, haha. From my Corpus Luteum cyst, I felt a pinching very similar to ovulation.

This pain is very common, but I would call and ask your OB/GYN about it, because as tessajdh said, it can be something more serious than gas.

I'm experiencing this as well and it's totally NORMAL. If it last for a few minutes and dissipates then you are fine. I had this with my first son and he is a healthy 3 year old! I am 4 weeks pregnant and it's happening to me off and on as well. Your uterus is stretching and stabbing pains will happen. Unless you start bleeding or have non-stop cramps, you are good. :-) Congratulations!

I also had same issue during my first trimester. I was confused because I was having Ethex 208 <a href="https://www.guaifenesin.org/"> for my fibromyalgia problem.
